About Twisted Resistance
We are a progressive minded collective intent on spearheading a philosophy of in depth journalism with use of other artistic outlets as an alternative to other media formats.
By bringing together the best of both worlds from paper and magazine articles, we give our readers the education and information they seek, and our subject matter the attention it deserves.
Our specialties are analysis, speculation, and discussion on various topics along with unique perspective's on today's relevant news in South Texas and elsewhere in the World. For us it is not enough to know the facts, but to bring a whole new set of thought concepts to the public.
In edition to writing, we work with, have worked with or are part of other organizations based in San Antonio. Those being:
Food Not Bombs, Mother Earth Newsletter, Silo #13 Info Shop, Critical Mass Bike Ride, Blackened Beauty Zine, M.E.X.A., Voice For Animals, Sunset Rising Collective, and the Esperanza Peace And Justice Center.
Others of note: Anti-Racist Action, Inside Books Project, and the Rhizeome Collective in Austin, as well as various groups and actions across the states.
The mutual purpose of this project is that we see the need for a new set of standards in the journalistic and literary world of South Texas, particularly San Antonio.
Our method of combating this problem is to take matters into our own hands with a D.I.Y.(Do It Yourself) work ethic so deep thoughts can be merged into meaningful subjects and intertwine with current events.
We are freelancers, students, artists, musicians, and radicals united through alternative forms of resistance. Some may call it twisted, for us this is life.
