The Freedumb Collection Series Fall 2008

I want you to escape for just a moment.

Step back form your daily life and take a look at what
you see. Then search within your deepest thoughts and
that in which you call your conscious self for what you
value most. Do these things bring your existence
meaning? Have you made your own fate? Are you free?

No one can answer these questions conclusively. Most
people don't or won't bother to even think along these
lines. After all, depending on your answers and
perspectives on them, it is something you might not want
to know.

Is this just another harsh example of how ignorance
tends to be bliss? It would seem so.

We have no choice other than to be born and
consequently to die, but what of the time in between?
How much do you value it?
Despite what a lot of us think life is not a formality.
There are no obligations to live by no matter how hard
you try to justify them. Everything we do has been
evolved by a human. Think about what amount of control
is your own decisions. If so then you should understand
what it means to have freedom.

What can you do when you're helpless?

This is your life. One opportunity to make the best of
it. The years start to go by and a personality is born.
Experiences start to develop and you live among the
world the best way you know how. Sometimes you become
complacent, and occasionally the days pass as if things
are to just be accepted. Those times will come and those
moments will pass, but eventually there comes a point
when that isn't going to be good enough anymore.
Responsibility plays an ever growing role in your
existence and soon you assume failure is occurring as if
the world is against you and there's nothing you can do
but except that reality.
If this is true you have become a victim and at first
it feels like there is no way anything will ever get
better.
You can hope for something to go your way but you know
ultimately waiting won't accomplish anything unless you
act. Even if you believe you are destined to achieve
great things in life, there is a certain amount of
living that needs to be done.
Some of us like to think we are special, and I truly
wish those folks the best, but if you happen to fall
into the overwhelming majority of people who realize
only you can make things better for yourself then you
should also know that desire isn't enough unless you
apply it.
Can you acquire what is necessary? You know it's going
to take a lot of effort and persistence to go beyond
your limits. Let's be honest, if you don't try, your
ceiling is going to be pretty low, if you don't
challenge yourself and only attack in the simplest of
situations you leave little room for improvement. To
give in is to fail and any weakness you show is the
secret to letting them win. Realize that they don't feel
sorry for you, and even those who are on your side will
be inclined to feel the same if you repeat these
patterns.

"Life is meant to be lived forward but understood
backwards." - Soren Kierkegaard.

There is always time to contemplate later; eventually
we all reflect. The victors seize the moment, force
their hand, scan the depths for the ingredients dreams
are made of.
Soon we see all the pressure and pain of living
surfaces. It leaves you to deal with what was mishandled
and lost among the remnants of a dying voice. One which
is truly lost, one who is desperately searching, one
that tests their deepest beliefs and know this is not
the way to perish.

This is the voice that moves forward, the cry that is
met, and the soul that screams to survive.

We are the Twisted Resistance.
